Manufacturer and Distributor of Medical Equipment and Supplies Case Study

Victura has consulted with the largest privately owned manufacturer and distributor of medical equipment and supplies in the U.S.  Victura has assisted our client with the preparation of its proposals to the U.S. Veterans Affairs (VA) for two major contracts; i) Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) contract, a five-year contract; and ii) VA Medical/Surgical Prime Vendor contract, a five-year contract.  Victura assisted the Client with the preparation of various portions of both the Technical and Business Proposals for each of the above contract proposal opportunities.

Our Client was awarded contracts for both programs.  The VA CMOP resulted in a five-year contract award with a value of $450 million.  The VA Medical/Surgical Prime Vendor proposal resulted in a five-year contract award to our client for three (3) regions with a contract value of approximately $1.1 billion.

In addition, Victura has assisted the Client with maintaining its ongoing compliance requirements of its VA Federal Supply Schedule (VA FSS) contracts.  As part of the compliance assistance, Victura periodically evaluates the effectiveness of the existing controls and procedures used by the Company to help ensure compliance with VA FSS contract requirements (e.g., Price Reductions Clause, Industrial Funding Fee reporting, Trade Agreements Clause, etc.)  In addition, Victura assists with the evaluation, development, and revision of internal policies and procedures to improve ongoing compliance.  Our team also assists the Client with responding to government audit inquiries, audit findings and liaison with the government auditors.
